“UNHOLY DESIRE”

Unholy Desire — Original Acrylic on Canvas

Unholy Desire is a study of impulse, surrender and the desire to lose control.

Created from a place of feeling like I needed to be completely out of control, this piece explores the tension between restraint and giving in. The imagery is deliberately open-ended, leaving the meaning entirely to the mind and interpretation of the person looking at it. What feels like desire, temptation, pleasure, chaos or something darker to one person may mean something completely different to another.

The rawness of the subject against the dark, almost consuming background reflects that feeling of being pulled towards something you know you perhaps shouldn’t want — but wanting it anyway.

This piece has taken 10+ hours of work, built entirely using acrylic medium on a 16 × 20 inch canvas.

Unholy Desire is not intended to tell you what to feel.
It is an invitation to decide for yourself what you see.

Every canvas comes with a certificate of authenticity and custom signing and sticker.
